“Conversations With Angels”

Chopova Lowena is back for its second Fashion Week rendezvous. Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena-Irons eponymously label has become quickly a fans favorite, even gaming cult status with their punk, angsty designs and signature carabiner belted skirts.

Since last FW Chopova placed itself at the very top of my personal favorite brands, this season they broke their own record - didn’t think that would be possible. Which just makes me that much more excited to follow Chopova’s journey.

Their latest collection titled Conversations with Angels was presented in the form of a look book. A genderless, punk, 70’s take on what a ski trip with Chopova would look like. Shot by Aidan Zamiri giving us perfect retro visuals that made me, someone who hates the cold, want to travel to Barrow, Alaska (the last frontier in the US and most isolated, cold town) and wear every piece from their FW23 collection and stand in the snow watching orcas looking absolutely fashionable.

If the collection had a scent it would definitely be something along the lines of Teenage Spirit accompanied by fashion looks Kurt Cobian would approve of.

Ensembles made up of  warm fuzzy arm warmers, gingham trousers, distressed bell bottoms, knitted beanies, leather, bomber jackets, bunny scribbled tights proudly representing Chopova Lowena’s signature punk core DNA.

A look book that invites everyone to join their ski-theme dreams. A quirky and almost childish collection from which I immediately added its carabiner leather jacket to my wish list.
