Balenciaga x Adidas Show at the New York Stock Exchange

This past Sunday, on May 22nd, Balenciaga debuted their new collaboration with Adidas at the New York Stock Exchange. The collection consists of 33 pieces mixing Adidas signature three stripes and Balenciaga’s lowercase typeface and voluminous silhouettes.

Street style has become so prominent in modern day, it is to no surprise that yet another high-end designer is collaborating with a world-renowned sportswear brand to further strengthen their ready-to-wear collections.

The show was divided into three parts. The first part being an introduction to “upscale classic garments” as Demna describes. Many looks for this part of the show included suits, overcoats, oversized pieces, and the drop-shoulder cut Demna loves. The second part of the showing was eveningwear with sequined gowns and silk trench dresses. And then the last part was of course the collaboration with Adidas. The collection includes chunky shoes, tracksuits, oversized bomber jackets, t-shirts, soccer jerseys, track dresses, robes, backpacks, duffle bags, top handle bags, and latex bodysuits obscuring models’ faces.
