Fun Makeup Looks to Try For Easter

It’s a big week for spring holidays. Passover started on Wednesday night this week, and Easter is on Sunday (unless you are Eastern Orthodox, in which case Easter is next week). Warm weather isn’t a fleeting delight anymore, but is solidifying its presence, creeping its roots into the wet earth.

If you celebrate Easter, you know that it is the first spring holiday that allows for clothes and makeup that embrace the coming warmth. We have put together some of our favorite makeup ideas to really embrace spring this Sunday.

White Eyeliner

I love white eyeliner, but I am rarely bold enough to wear it. For a special occasion, however, it is the perfect way to make a statement in a simple, clean way. It is fresh and crisp, perfect for spring. It draws attention to the eyes without being too complicated, and can be paired with a wide variety of lipstick shades and clothing looks. Try it with the Glossier no. 1 pencil in creamy white.

Pink All Over

Another simple but out of the ordinary look is the flushed, shimmery, pink all over look. What I love about this is that you can use the same shade of pink on your eyes, cheeks, and lips, flushing them together to create as much pigment as you desire. It is rosy and romantic, and can be either subtle or bold, depending on your mood.

Pastel Eyes

I have been enamored with pastel eye shades since I saw it on a classmate in 6th grade, when we were just starting to experiment with makeup. A diffused lilac look is perfect for easter, providing a pop of color, and looks especially great against green eyes. Pale, icy blue is great for blue eyes, while mint green looks stunning against dark eyes. These are not rules though- anyone can rock any of these colors- go with your preference!

Half Magic has the perfect array of matte and shimmery eyeshadows with a heavy pigment to allow you to experiment.

Bold, Graphic Eyeliner

If creativity is your strong suit, use this opportunity to play around with a bright graphic eyeliner. The possibilities with eyeliner are endless; explore different colors, shapes, patterns and designs. Kulfi beauty has a great array of eyeliners in colors like berry, sky blue, green, and terra cotta. For a more sparkly look. try Half Magic’s glitterpill eyeliner and eye paint.

Colorful Mascara

Finally, what is more playful than colorful mascara? Wear this on its own or pair it with any of the aforementioned makeup looks. Hince has an array of colors, so whatever your preference, you are in good hands.
