Giambattista Valli Couture Show
Giambattista Valli debuted their Fall Winter 23/24 Haute Couture collection on June 3rd in Paris at the brand’s new headquarters. Entitled N25, the collection was about celebrating the Modernity of the Classics. Giambattista stated that “the idea of Haute Couture floats over the times, it doesn’t really belong to a specific era”. This idea is captured in the brand's newest collection.
The show stuck to a theme of black, white, and pink. Two green and one yellow gown were also featured in the show. Each dress of the 35 dresses in the collection features its own unique characteristics, the details were truly intricate.
Look #24 of the collection was a white gown featuring layers of lace and tulle. The top of the two-piece ensemble featured a lace bustier top with bowed ribbon straps and a ribbon accent in the center of the top. Fluffy layered tulle sleeves with a lettuce trim created broad and flowy arms resembling wispy clouds. The long lace coordinating skirt featured an exaggerated high slit. The skirt’s coordinating three-layer tulle train creates an ethereal silhouette. The combination of floral lace, ribbons, and bouncy tulle created a feminine and elegant look.
Celebrities looked elegant sitting in the front row for the couture show. Model Mathilde Pinault, socialite Nicky Hilton, and her mother Kathy Hilton sat side by side in the show in dainty lace and floral dresses. Nicky wore an ivory off-the-shoulder sundress with a pink and green floral pattern. The full-length dress had a ruched top and a flowy skirt. She paired the look with a pink handbag and diamond-shaped silver drop earrings.
Giambattista Valli’s show for Paris Couture Week was one of elegance and captured the essence of the designer's timeless vision.
