IKEA’s Announces their New Personalized Design Service

Earlier this week, interior design giant IKEA just introduced their new interior design service. This program allows customers to hire IKEA interior designers to provide them with expert advice and design services. The one-on-one appointments are online and clients get to meet with IKEA experts.
The process starts with booking an appointment on the IKEA website and filling out the location of your home or business, the type of service and availability. IKEA will pair customers with a designer based on this beginning information.

The process includes three online sessions where customers create a wishlist, make a mood board and fill out a questionnaire. After that part of the process, 3-D rendering is made and the customer and designer create a product list together. Those products are then sent to the customers house, assembled and installed. The program allows customers to have custom interior design aspects in their home. These services are not just for homes, but are also offered for businesses, restaurants, offices, hotels, etc. The program is set to have more accessible prices.

IKEA Australia's head of Interior Design, Christine Gough said about the new service, “At IKEA, we believe home is the most important place in the world. In the past, customers have used the store or the famous IKEA catalog for design inspiration. This design service is going to be great for IKEA fanatics to use. It provides a customized service that is catered to the customers home and interior design interests or styles. With the service being entirely online, it can be a great fit for any busy customer to change the look of their home from anywhere.
