Jacquemus’ Journey from France to Hawaii: The Le Splash Show
Fashion and the beach? I mean, c’mon. Two of our favorites all in one. And in Oahu, Hawaii! The French brand has journeyed all the way from France to represent their new collection. Jaquemus lured us in with their new Le Splash off-calendar, intimate Spring/Summer 2022 show. The runway matched a lot of the looks with its vibrant blue tones inspired by water and aquatic water sports. The show began with neutrals and gradually went into the blue tones, lime green, and yellow colors. Selected guests were seated amongst the sand to view the looks as shown above.
The runway however experienced an unexpected torrential downpour during the show. A lot of the looks were damaged and were unable to be photographed, but the looks that were photographed were taken in the morning before the show.
The neutral beige tones give a sophisticated, elegant beach look. Jacquemus uses square clear sequins with a medium beige underlay for the pants in this look. They pair it with a cream colored one piece that twists along the arm straps.
Mesh has been a popular fabric for a few years now. It is still eye-catching to see it incorporated into swimwear along with a cutout black bathing suit for that sexy, yet simple beach attire.
We love the analogous colors being represented in this look. The Bottega green wide-leg cargo pants paired with a textured turquoise sweater with a lime green collar make a beautiful combination. The sweater wrapped around the waistline pulls the look together with a shade of lime green.
Of course the different shades of pink must be included in this vibrant collection. The embellished hot pink oversized jean jacket is paired with a strappy, underwired hot pink bathing suit and a medium pink wide-leg dress pant.
Gingham was a main component in this collection. The baby pink gingham set is shown with knee-length shorts, a form-fitted t-shirt, and a light weight button up shirt. Along the waistline, a light pink belt is shown to break up the gingham.
