The inspiration and drive towards creating SKKN was to find a skincare routine and desire Kim’s own complexion. Struggling with psoriasis, an immune-mediated skin condition resulting in dry red patches on the face and body, SKKN has been collaborating with dermatologist and esthetician to provide a well balanced top-to-bottom routine. Being formulated to care for all skin types, tones, and textures at every stage of maturity, this collection consists of a gentle foaming cleanser, a vitamin C8 serum, and a nourishing night oil. Each product was created to be used together for a full routine, but can also be effective on its own or integrated with your own routine. SKKN highlights different workhouses within each product, like glycerin, of which the cleanser is said to have an "ultra dosage." The rosa centifolia flower is an antioxidant featured in the Hyaluronic Acid Serum. With this luxury and skincare line, products are priced a bit higher than the average skincare product. “It’s definitely more prestige, and in order to get the types of ingredients that I would not really miss out on, it was kind of a necessity,” she said in an interview with New York Times. “The products I was using that were comparable were way more expensive, not to compare anything. I tried to get the quality for the best price that we could, especially the vitamin C serum.” The packaging emulates stone in varying neutral shades but is made out of a lightweight plastic (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene to be exact. The neutral color schemed skincare line will launch June 21, 2022.
