Mick Fleetwood is the New Face of Pleasing
Everywhere you look it seems like there is a new beauty brand launch from influencers and celebrities. In November of 2021, Harry Styles launched his own “life” brand called Pleasing. So far the brand has a selection of beauty products. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Harry Styles explained, “Starting the brand with beauty felt exciting because creating great products is a unique way to make people feel good.” The whole brand radiates positivity and good vibes.
For the first drop, the brand launched three nail polish colors and two skin care products. All the products are vegan and cruelty-free and even use packaging made of recycled materials. The biodegradable nail polish colors first launched were a soft, shiny white, a sweet pink, and an inky deep blue. The collection was called the Perfect Polish set with names like Perfect Pearl, Granny’s Pink Pearl, and Inky Pearl. Harry Styles’ fascination with pearls doesn’t stop with his pearly nail polish collection. The Pearlescent Illuminating Serum is packed with antioxidants, amino acids, vitamin B5, and mica to give the skin a pearly glow. This serum was inspired by the dewy and fresh skin of Japanese skin divers, women who use only a net to collect and gather pearls. The last item that was part of the first collection was the Pleasing Pen, which features a two sided rollerball pen. One end was a matte lip oil great for hydrating your lips, and the other end was an eye serum meant to keep skin plump and fresh feeling. When creating the collection, Harry Styles wanted to ensure that the products were something that he himself would use. The rockstar’s magnetic and joyous energy is what makes him loved by so many, and who doesn’t want to try beauty products created out of joy?
Perfect Pearl Collection
Pleasing’s latest campaign, which is out on March 15th, is titled “Shroom Bloom”. Mick Fleetwood is the new face of Pleasing’s psychedelic and groovy collection. The Fleetwood drummer has greatly influenced Harry Styles and his music career, so it’s only fitting that Fleetwood join forces with one of today’s biggest names in music. The campaign is a blend of sixties counterculture and today’s Gen Z trend culture. The new collection will have four new biodegradable and plant-based nail polish colors packaged in bottles that resemble magic mushrooms. The Shroom Bloom set includes a glossy sage green called Sprouting, an opaque mushroom-like beige called Tender Bud, a bright red called Vine Ripe, and a clear holographic polish called The Whole Dewniverse. The new collection will also include Acid Drops Lucid Overnight Serum with malic acid, aloe, upcycled hibiscus acid, camellia, salicylic acid, lemon, and papaya. The serum helps smooth pores and creates glowy skin. The last product of the new collection is a soothing and hydrating hand and nail balm with shea butter, snow mushroom, and apricot. Not only is it non-greasy and calming, the balm comes in a recyclable aluminum tube. The new drop also features ethically crafted organic cotton t-shirts and a crewneck sweatshirt with fun and groovy designs.

Harry Styles has created a brand that celebrates personal expression and joyfulness. The products he has developed for Pleasing aren’t about hiding or concealing a part of yourself, but rather they are about making you feel good about yourself, inside and out.
