SKIMS Launch Their Men’s Line In An Unprecedented Way
The women focused shapewear brand launched by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede in 2019 makes its entrance in the world of professional sports. This deal makes the first official underwear of the NBA, WNBA and USA Basketball. Skims is already making changes in the world of basketball. The NBA commissioner, Adam Silver(on the left of the photo) stated recently that even he is now wearing Skims.
Skims once again makes its marketing magic work, launching the campaign in a very good spot at the perfect time. The NBA just launched a brand new in season tournament where Skims will be one of the main brands displayed. On top of that, USA Basketball with both Men’s and Women’s teams making it to the Paris 2024 Olympics, gives Kim Kardashian’s brand an Olympic presence. However, that is not Skims’ first appearance at the Olympics. In 2021 Tokyo Summer Olympics Skims was the official underwear brand of the US Olympic Team. With brands fighting themselves to make it to the All Star games, Skims has nothing to worry about as they will make it to both the NBA and WNBA this year in Indianapolis as their first ever official underwear.
Their men’s line presents a variety of products divided in three categories: cotton, stretch and sports including t-shirts, tank tops, socks and underwear. Skims already provides all the basics for an athlete, and recently they have dropped their sports leggings. Skims have also mentioned that throughout the year they will be presenting more products for men.
In the new SKIMS commercial we see three famous athletes, representing three major sports in one commercial, sticking to their slogan “Every Body is Wearing SKIMS”. Showcasing NBA star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, NFL defensive lineman Nick Bosa, and Brazilian soccer player Neymar Jr. Despite only signing with professional basketball, three major sports are represented with surely more to come.
