Stars From Miami Swim Week

There’s no better place to showcase the industry’s top swimwear designers than in the city of Miami, where summer is year-round and the arts scene thrives. Fan favorites and up and coming designers gave us a preview of the season’s hottest swimwear trends. Styles ranged from chic and classic to fun and playful–all of which are perfect for soaking up the sun by the sea. Here are some of the looks that we loved from Swim Week in South Beach.

VDM the Label is an Australian brand that drew inspiration from the Amalfi Coast for its latest collection. The brand uses recycled materials to create beautiful swimwear that you’ll definitely want to check out if you’re headed to any beach, especially in Italy. VDM the Label keeps it simple yet trendy for its new collection with some crisp whites and fun colors.

Acacia turned the beach into a runway to highlight its latest collection, which was a fan favorite. The brand had some of my personal favorites that I can picture myself wearing while laying in the sand and listening to the waves crashing on the shore. Acacia had the sweetest styles in the dreamiest colors that put you in the summer mood.

B FYNE had a strong, bold collection. Their bright colors and fresh designs lit up the runway. The designer, Buki Ade, explained, “This collection was inspired by the bright days of a summer garden in Eden. A serene society where imaginations run wild.” With some African influences included as well, B FYNE had such a spectacular collection.

Abyss by Abby’s collection was titled “Let’s Party Like it’s 2019” and it was fun. Subtle sparkle, some sheen, and even some latex resulted in the ultimate summer party feel. The designs featured some cutouts and string bikinis. Abyss by Abby had a unique take on a modern, yet slightly retro collection.

ONEONE brought even more colors and some beautiful prints to the runway of Miami Swim Week. But what makes the brand even better is their commitment to sustainability. Their motto is “you order it, we make it” which ensures there’s no deadstock and eliminates waste. Their latest collection was filled with groovy designs and trendy colors, which will look great lounging next to a pool.

Miami Swim Week brought the heat this year. The fresh designs and beautiful brands left an impact, so you can guarantee that you’ll be seeing these brands and these trends everywhere in the near future.
