Some are doing great things, some are not, but some are on the way and decide to go slow to ensure they keep their sustainability promises, like Coach.
Berlin Fashion Week is a Pioneer in Sustainable Fashion
As sustainable fashion comes further into the forefront of many consumer’s minds, we look to see how fashion week embraces or rejects sustainable ideas. So far, we have seen a few examples of sustainability at Milan Fashion Week and Paris Men’s Fashion Week, but Berlin has by far done the most for sustainable fashion in the fall/winter 2023 cycle so far.
Can New York’s Fashion Act Increase Sustainability within the Fashion Industry?
In January of this year, the New York legislature was introduced to The Fashion Act. The act was introduced by a coalition led by Maxine Bédat, founder of the New Standard Institute, lawmaker Anna Kelles and senator Alessandra Biaggi. The act is also backed by various sustainable brands such as Everlane, Reformation and Patagonia
