Timothée Chalamet Is Getting Busy With Bleu de Chanel And Scorsese’s Film

Chanel just announced that Timothée Chalamet will be the latest ambassador for their new campaign, Bleu de Chanel. There is a good amount that comes with this campaign including the fragrances themselves and a short film that Martin Scorsese will direct.

Chalamet has a personal connection to Chanel with his American grandmother gifting his sister the classic Chanel No. 5 as a kid. “She was a very, very elegant lady in the best sense of the word—subtly elegant and not for show.” His grandmother sounds like a Chanel woman which makes it even better that he is the face of this new campaign.

The Call Me By Your Name actor will star in the short film that will come alongside the new fragrances. This is not Martin Scorsese’s first time working with Chanel, especially Bleu de Chanel. Back in 2010, he shot a commercial with the former Gaspard Ulliel, a French actor who was also a Chanel ambassador. However, we are going to have to wait a little bit since the short film will not be released until the fall.

Chanel’s decision to hire Chalamet as its ambassador is absolutely genius. He has a unique audience that is a combination of the film and fashion world. His high fashion appearance and presence on the red carpets is alluring to the fashion industry while his parts in Dune, Call Me By Your Name, and Little Women bring in the movie industry. Chalament says, “I have some friends that aren’t as interested in the high-fashion space, but when I tell them I’m doing a short film with Martin Scorsese in New York, their ears prick up,”

The actor described the fragrance as “ subtle but still assertive” with hints of sandalwood, vanilla, and tonka bean. This fragrance is “A fragrance for an individual who is deeply themself” as the Chanel website says on the campaign page.

Photos from the campaign consist of him in a plain black t-shirt with dark blue lighting. The photographer played with shadows and light to keep the photos interesting and mysterious. His messy brown curls are the perfect match for the black t-shirt and the dark lighting which brings it all together beautifully.

However, this is not the only exciting part of Chalamet’s life at the moment. He has a second part of the movie Dune coming out later this year in November. Additionally, he will be starring in Wonka, which will be a prequel to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

The 27-year-old is doing amazing right now with so many projects in the works and most of them being released later this year. We can’t wait to see how they all turn out.
