Up & Coming Jewelry Designers You Need To Know

Accessorizing is a must for any outfit. Whether you love your layers and statement pieces or prefer a more subtle chain and studs, jewelry can elevate your style. But what everyone really wants is to find special pieces that no one else has. It takes magnificent skill, talent, and creativity to create unique and beautiful pieces of jewelry. Jewelry designers are a breed of their own, so we’re spotlighting the up and coming jewelry designers of today.

Bea Bongiasca

Central Saint Martins grad, Bea Bongiasca, has made quite the name for herself in the world of jewelry design since she started her eponymous label in 2013. She creates each unique piece in her home country of Italy. Her designs are fun yet sophisticated. She combines enamel and stones for a playful and chic aesthetic. Bongiasca doesn’t have a traditional take on fine jewelry, but it’s because of that that her work resonates with a younger generation.

Khiry

You wouldn’t think that someone majoring in political science would end up starting their own jewelry brand, but that’s exactly what Jameel Mohammad did. The Brooklyn-based designer created his brand, Khiry, which he uses to take on concepts of African diaspora through contemporary design. Mohammad shows that something so beautiful, like jewelry, can take on a much deeper meaning and represent the history of a culture.

Gala Colivet Dennison

Jewelry meets sculpture with Gala Colivet Dennison’s jewelry brand. The designer used to be first and foremost a sculptor, but that took a turn and she became one of today’s most stunning up and coming jewelry designers.  Her designs seem to be more like wearable art than just simple jewelry. Just by looking at her chunky silver jewelry, you can definitely see the sculptural influences. Dennison’s designs are one-of-a-kind and have interesting features like ancient coral fossils, dendrite limestone, walrus tusk, and more.

Bruá

Sleek, minimalistic designs are a hallmark of Ukrainian jewelry brand Bruá. Founded in 2017, the brand represents the “synthesis of frivolity and sometimes odd courage with zealous implementation.” They draw from a variety of inspirations including the female form, architect Zaha Hadid, and sculptor Constantin Brancusi. Their designs are so simple, yet so elegant and beautiful. If you’re looking for some staple jewelry for everyday wear, Bruá is a must to check out.

L’Enchanteur

L’Enchanteur has eclectic, stunning jewelry designs. The brand was started by twin sisters Dynasty and Soull Ogun. They created the brand as a way of illustrating their upbringing and childhood–they tell stories of growing up. Mystical, magical, ethereal are all words that can be used to describe their jewelry designs. They have a perfect mix of sleek metals and colorful stones that combine to form magnificent pieces.
