H&M x Mugler Is Sexy, Mysterious, And All Around High-Fashion
The experimental French fashion brand Mugler is H&M’s latest choice for their 2023 designer collaboration. This collection is filled with Mugler signature cut-out, mesh and sexy style in a smaller price point that will make you feel confident and all around high-fashion.
Mugler was founded by Thierry Mugler in the 1970s with the philosophy of emphasizing the femininity and dramatic flares that high fashion can have. They are known for their extravagance when it comes to silhouettes and confidence.
H&M is known for doing collaborations with high-end designers since the 2000s. Some of their fan-favorite partnerships have been with Karl Lagerfeld, Versace, and Simone Rocha. However, this has been one of their most anticipated ones since Mugler is such a daring brand with many unique garments.
This line will allow you to shop Mugler designs and garments, but at a lower price so the pieces are more accessible to a wider audience. There are over 100 pieces in this collection and many of them have the signature mesh material with silhouettes to accentuate the wearer’s body. Mugler is also known for a specific silhouette, broad shoulders with a smaller waist, these exaggerations plus the materials and designs they create make them a very avante-garde brand.
One of the signature pieces that is sold in this collection is a thick M belt with silver hardware. This would be the perfect accessory to pair with other pieces such as a pair of denim jeans with an addition of spiral black panels across the classic blue. Additionally, a corset top with a flat chest piece and mesh paneling is the perfect top to go with the jeans and belt.
There are many more daring pieces in this collection though. There are many “catsuits” which are full-body mesh suits with black spiral paneling across the chest and legs. The spiral paneling gives for an exaggerated silhouette and you can spot it from a mile away that it is none other than Mugler.
