A Deeper Look into the 2023 Chanel Cruise Collection

The Chanel Cruise destination fashion show was presented on the pebbled beach in Monaco and models walked along the sandy catwalk in a collection inspired by the cosmopolitan beach lifestyle of Monaco and Chanel’s history. The Formula One-inspired collection was presented in Monte Carlo to the likes of Kristen Strewart and Sofia Coppola. "To me, Monaco is a matter of feelings above all," creative director Virginie Viard said. "That’s Karl, Caroline, Charlotte. From very early on, I knew we would hold a show there, and more precisely at the Beach Hotel. Besides, Karl was dreaming about it. From this magnificent venue, one can glimpse his villa, La Vigie. I will never forget the times I spent there: terraces and balconies, big umbrellas, baskets of flowers - so much beauty." (Harper’s Bazaar)

This collection, designed by Virginie Viard, is filled with jumpsuits, checkered flags printed on blouses and dresses, moto racing helmets, slot machines turned into novelty bags, and tweed jackets paired with printed caps.
