And the Emmy Goes To…
Last night, the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards honored the best of American television as nominees walked down the red carpet at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
This years fans favorites include Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Alexandra Daddario, Lizzo, Reese Whiterspoon, SelenaGomez, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Andrew Garfield, Sarah Paulson, Lily James and Quinta Brunson who brought all the Hollywood-glamour and elegance.
Among the most nominated series of the night where HBO’s Succession, AppleTV’s Ted Lasso and HBO’s The White Lotus who were competing against Only Murderersin the Building, Euhoria, The Great, Hacks, Atlanta, The Floght Attendant, Killing Eve and other binge-worth series.
While the east coast is celebrating experimental, trendy, avant-grade and edge cutting fashion the west coast brings a more romantic, pulled together and elegant vibe.
This years red carpet was a mixture of various silhouettes, colors and prints which made it that much mor interesting and enjoyable to look at. Each nominees personalities truly shined through their styling choices.
One of the nights and my all-time favorite was Zendaya who not only wore one of the most gorgeous dresses ever, I mean she always looks incredible, but especially tonight as she took home the well-deserved award for leading actress in a drama series. (Omg!)
She dialed up the glamour and looked like a modern princess in a custom Valentino ball gown, she just keeps upping the bar and we are here for it. Designed specially for her, the black bodice had. a subtle peplum that highlighted the beautiful full skirt which stylist Law Roach said was inspired by Grace Kelly. Completing the retro inspired look with her hair pulled back with a sleek headband, nodding to old Hollywood glam, and it wouldn’t be a Zendaya look without a Bulgari jewel to tie up the look.
Once again Lizzo owned the red carpet! I will even go as far as to say that this is her best look yet.
Lizzo looked absolutely stunning as she received her Emmy for Outstanding Competition Program in a Giambatista Vallista cherry-red tulle gown with matching red heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Her makeup and hair were the perfect combination of simplistic elegance. Lizzo delivered a speech that brought me to tears, thank you Lizzo for becoming the girl we look up to! A plus A plus A plus.
This two stars rocked white like nobody’s business.
The Under the Banner of Heaven nominee, Andrew Garfield, broke the internet as he looked fit in an all white suit from Zegna which he paired with black Louboutins and sunglasses.
While Ted Lasso actor Toheeb Jimoh rocked a wrapped-suit. Saying goodbye to the traditional boring tuxedo and proving men can also bring style.
Lily James knows exactly how to dress her body, she looked amazing in a skin-thigh, color-neutral bodice by Versace. The gown double layered neckline and fabric appeared to be melting into the red carpet. Her fake tan and red messy hair-do could have been a real miss but she pulled it of flawlessly. A very sexy look fit for the actress nominated for playing sex symbol herself; Pamela Anderson.
