New York’s Downtown Girl Ensembles in Rebecca Minkoff’s NYFW Presentation
Rebecca Minkoff put on an all-white, stunning presentation Sept. 9th for NYFW. The models stood in place on their podiums donning edgy, punk ensembles. Projected CGI-ed pictures of New York’s concrete jungle gleamed across the screens behind the models emphasizing the neutrality of the collection.
The collection is a reimagined, more sustainable look of New York City’s downtown girl with a hint of ‘80s and ‘90s grunge. Denim silhouettes embellished with punk studs, dog clips, crystals, and chains were the main attraction of the collection. The handbags feature edgy studded guitar strap handles as well. Minkoff’s streetwear looks encapsulates 21st-century rock ‘n’ roll femininity.
Minkoff partnered with Morgan Stanley for this fashion week and launched the Banker Bag 2.0 to represent the new staple bag for the banking community. The looks were a hit and everyone left the show in awe. Minkoff is in for a great season.
