Baby2Baby does Fashion with Purpose
When fashion serves a purpose great things can be achieved. This weekend the annual Baby2Baby Gala took place as celebrities joined the cause.
Baby2Baby is a non profit organization that raises money to provide children in poverty with diapers, baby formula and essential items. Distributing goods across Americas homeless shelters, foster care, hospitals and schools. This year also marked a special milestone for the organization as they celebrate 10 years of providing millions of basic essentials to children. Everything from diapers, for, ila, clothing, cribs, soap, shampoo, supplies all possible by the donations raised.
This weekend the gala broke its record with the help of remarkable women who are Angels of the association including Vanessa Bryant, Blake Lively, Olivia Wilde, Jessica Alba and Mindy Kaling. Raising over 10 million dollars!
Every year the gala honors a special person as a thank you for their continuous support and dedication. This year the recipient for the Giving Tree Award was given to Kim Kardashian. Who has been an active participant over the last 10 years helping raise money and awareness.
Fashion for a cause is what we like to see.
Amongst the nights guests and supporters included Olivia Wilde who looked stunning in a Magda Butrym dramatic skirt and matching black bandeau and rocking a similar look was supermodel Elsa Hosk who wore a white, sheer set from Magda Butrym as well. Keeping things modern and futuristic was Lori Harvey wearing an Off-White floor length dress with gloves and hoodie.
Award receipient of the night, Kim Kardashian, showed up in Balneciaga, duh, but this time in a pink, body hugging stretchy gown. A look that felt more girlish and romantic compared to her sharp, sleeked looks she has been serving. Sister Kylie Jenner might have worn my favorite look of the night, an off the shoulder, chiffon, pleated sheer gown form Loewe, giving classy, fresh and avant-grade.
Florals and cut-outs were a big motif, Jessica Alba wore a dramatic hot pink floral gown from Carolina Herrera and Ayesha Curry wore a very feminine, soft Giambattista Vali white gown. Take a look a some of the other attendees of the night.
