If watching Bridgerton showed us anything, it's that the evolution of shapewear is truly something to be thankful for. Launched in 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia, Spanx, owned, and still owned by Sara Blakely made waves in the shapewear industry, launching new styles for all sorts of undergarments and offering women less uncomfortable garments.
