This film is about Princess Diana’s existential crisis ever since rumors of divorce with Prince Charles swirled around. Princess Diana’s ensembles were something to remember and Jacqueline Durran kept that notion alive in the film.

Coco Before Chanel describes the life before Chanel became the memorable symbol she is today, hence the title of the film. It takes you through her process of yearning for comfort and elegance over discomfort and societal standards.

Esther is the Head Seamstress at Dior and is nearing the end of her career. She takes Jade, a 20-year-old woman beneath her wings to help her grow into the craft of dressmaking.

If you want a peek into Anna WIntour’s world, this is the film you must watch. It takes you through what she experiences during the process of building the most important issue of the year, the September issue. It is like fashion’s New Year in September so it must be perfect.

Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel

Diana Vreeland worked as a fashion editor at Harper’s Bazaar for 25 years then went on to be the editor-in-chief at Vogue in 1971. This documentary emphasizes her vision for finding beauty in everything and being one of the first to apply it to the magazine world.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Audrey Hepburn introduces for one of the first times, the LBD and streams of pearls paired together in this film creating a look that never leaves fashion history. Roaming the streets of New York with George Peppard in her elegant ensembles.

Similar to Project Runway, Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn host this show full of contestants who want to make it as fashion designers. They must compete to show their talents in order to create their own business.

Emily in Paris

If you haven’t seen this show yet, you must. It sounds a little cheesy, but it is captivating. Emily is transferred to Paris for her job, but finds a deeper love for fashion, croissants, friends, and romance. 

Bridgerton

The beautiful tailoring of the 19th century in London is unforgettable. Of course these are made in modern times, but it mimics the elegance of this time period when courting was traditional and planned. However, a bit of breaking the rules came into play and the storyline along with the fashion is definitely something to see. Season 2 recently came out and it is equally as good as Season 1.
