May 22, 2022, Kourtney Kardashian married Travis Barker in Portofino, Italy. Following the the formal wedding at a courthouse in Santa Barbara, California, the couple now planned another spectacular ceremony in Italy to be celebrated with their closest friends and family. Kourtney and Travis got married April 4, right after the Grammys Event, in Las Vegas, writing in an Instagram caption, “Once upon a time in a land far, far away (Las Vegas) at 2am, after an epic night and a little tequila, a queen and her handsome king ventured out to the only open chapel with an Elvis and got married (with no license). Practice makes perfect.” Set in Italy, The bride wore a one-of-a-kind Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda lace and satin corset mini dress inspired by 1960s Italian lingerie, accompanied by a sweeping veil. Flowers were hand embroidered into the headpiece and were inspired by the seaside town’s many Mediterranean gardens, as well as a depiction of the Virgin Mary. The religious iconography, based on one of Barker’s tattoos, is accompanied by text that reads “family loyalty respect.” The look is finished off with a pair of tulle gloves and lace pumps. “Designing my dresses with Domenico and Stefano has been a dream come true in every way,” Kardashian tells Vogue. Barker’s black double breasted suit was also designed by the D&C.

Taking place at Villa Olivetta, a home on the estate of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the dwelling includes a lookout tower mimicking a tower, terraces for al fresco dining, and sweeping views of the crystalline Mediterranean. On the hillside grounds are olive, eucalyptus, and cypress groves, pathways, and fences made from natural knotted branches. As for the interiors, Vogue’s editor at large Hamish Bowles compared the aesthetic to “Alice tumbling into the surreal Wonderland at the bottom of the rabbit hole” when he visited in 2005. The Sunday ceremony was the pinnacle of a multi-day, Dolce Vita affair: the weekend kicked off on Friday with a welcome dinner at Ristorante Puny, followed by a Saturday afternoon boat trip. The entire Kardashian clan chose three separate outfits for each festivity on each day. First day was an all black, goth meets ancient fairytale look, second day was simple, luxurious, European summer, and the third day was all bling and fun. As the entire wedding party is being dressed Dolce and Gabbana, the stylish Kardashian siblings archived Dolce & Gabbana vintage dressings, from tight corset dresses to fitted black dresses to vintage floral, Each sister has nailed easy, care-free glamour, but in a way that suits their own tastes.
