Margot in the Spotlight
This summer has been a nostalgic dream for all the Barbie lovers of the world, Margot Robbie, playing Barbie in the Barbie Movie, out July 21st, has channeled her inner doll through Barbie looks on the movie press tour.
With the help of her stylist, Andrew Mukamal, she has replicated many of Barbie’s most iconic classic looks. The LA grand premiere look was a show stopper.

Designed by Sciapperelli, the dress is a replica of the classic 1960s Barbie doll Solo in the Spotlight. This doll, now a rare collectible, is one of the oldest Barbie designs there is. Schiaparelli documented the process of creating Margot’s iconic dress on Instagram. The black strapless gown was fully embroidered with sequins, similar to the doll the bottom of the dress ended in fluffy black tulle. A singular hand-painted red rose sat right above the tulle. The look was styled with black gloves and a baby pink scarf in the hand, just like the doll.

The attention to detail made this red carpet one of her best. Margot did not disappoint with additional styling that made her look like she belonged in a toy store. The dress was styled with black peep toe pumps, a 4 strand diamond choker, and diamond earrings. Similar to the doll, Margot wore her hair back in a curly ponytail with pinned-back bangs, and red lips.

Barbie is the best-dressed doll around, and Margot has not disappointed Barbie fans with her iconic looks promoting one of the summer's biggest movies.
