Meet the Next Generation of Top Models: Fresh Faces from Fashion Month

The early fall 2022 shows brought stunning new faces and iconic models who paraded down the runway in new pieces and looks. Here are some of the models who are making a breakthrough within the modeling and fashion industry.

Grace Valentine

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Grace Valentine was scouted in summer 2019 in Times Square and has been dominating the fashion industry since. With appearances on Vogue and Re-Edition, starring in campaigns with Louis Vuitton, Fendi x Skims, and Calvin Klein, and walking over 30+ shows, she is the new face and very well sought after.

Meghan Roche

Twenty-one year old Meghan started modeling at 15, when she made her debut at the Givenchy show. Her inevitable facial structure and powerful walk has risen to become of the most highly sought after figures in the game. In 2018, Roche was deemed “Top Newcomer” by Models.Com, and has walked hundreds of shows, including Versace, Alexandre Vauthier, Chanel, and Fendi,

Akon Changkou

The 22-year-old model from South Sudan left everything behind to pursue a career well worthwhile. Four months after being scouted, Akon found herself being whisked away from Australia all the way to New York, where she established a name for herself. She has been seen on multiple covers of Vogue, walking the shows of Jacquemus, Chanel, and Tory Burch, and doing campaigns for Louis Vuitton, Versace, and Marc Jacobs.

Anok Yai

Born of South Sudanese heritage, Anok Yai has broken fashion history by being the second black model (after Naomi Campbell) to open a Prada show. Ranked as one of the “Top 50 Models” by Models.Com in 2019, she has been featured on the covers of Vogue Japan, Netherlands, Germany, and made her debut for American and British Vogue. In an interview with Vogue, she explained how "It was an honor and I'm proud that I was the one chosen to open, but this is bigger than me. Me opening for one of the top fashion houses is a statement to the world - especially for black women - that their beauty is something that deserves to be celebrated."
