Schiaparelli’s Daniel Roseberry Seems To Outdo Himself Every Fashion Week and Haute Couture Week is No Exception

Schiaparelli was given the honor to open Paris Haute Couture Week on July 3rd and they couldn’t have done a better job. The first impressions of haute couture week from Schiaparelli had everyone excited for the rest of the shows. Schiaparelli has truly outdone themselves this time and the looks that came down the runway were marvelous.

Daniel Roseberry has been a creative genius with everything he has done for the fashion house since he started in 2019. There are so many iconic moments that came from his daring designs. Some of them include Doja Cat being covered head to toe in red crystals, Kylie Jenner and the runway model wearing matching outfits this past January, and Bella Hadid with her gold lung pendent on her gown for the Cannes Film Festival.

For this haute couture week, he stepped it up and you can tell from the designs that he was able to bring to life his ideas of magic, freedom, and experimentation. “I wanted this season to feel much more free, spontaneous, painterly”. Their last collection focused on technique and precision while this one was more centered around daring, magical, daring looks.

Most of the collection was black and white with dramatic flares like an asymmetrical hemline or a giant coat of feathers complimenting the garment. However, there were some pops of colors like blue, gold, and even some rainbows. One look, in particular, was a gold skirt with a matching jacket that resembles almost a cobblestone look with the space in between what looks like to be gold stones. Two branches were also reaching off the jacket with a spray-painted blue chest on the model.

The final look is one that I, personally, can’t wait to see on a celebrity for a red-carpet event. It is a white pearl beaded top with a black background that is big and oversized but hangs off one of the model’s shoulders. This extravagant top is coupled with a silky black midi skirt with a balloon waistline and gold heels.

When asked about the collection, Roseberry said,

“I just want people to be overwhelmed by the joy and the creativity coming from inside the house, and also the freedom and the risk-taking every season”.
