The Best Key Colors in Womenswear for Fall 2023

As the season changes, so does the palette for women’s wardrobe globally. This shift doesn't come without warning, signs of the upcoming major colors have been teased on the runways and campaigns of many iconic brands such as Feragmmo and Acne Studios as they debut their A/W 2023 collections. From bold and bright accents to dull and delicate neutrals, women can expect hues from all across the spectrum to make an appearance on the racks for their cold-weather wardrobes.

A delicate pink, best described as bubblegum, has found its way all across 2023. A color reminiscent of springtime, flowers, and youth. This shade of pink could be thoughtlessly associated with the warmer months, and it wouldn't be wrong. This shade of pink has already been popular, seen as a colorway for Coach’s iconic Tabby Bag and in a monochromatic look from Acne studio’s Fall 2023 runway show. Although the Barbie fever has begun to dial down following the release of the movie, pink seems to be sticking with us into the fall and winter.

Heating things up, a firetruck red is also making its way into the wardrobe of women across the world. This fiery shade has been seen on everything from handbags to dresses. Ferragamo can't get enough of it in their Fall/Winter 2023 collection featuring multiple looks such as an extravagant full-length fur red coat and a black dress with peekaboo red pleats. Victoria Beckham also debuted a blazing monochromatic red sweater look on their A/W 2023 runway. This shade of red is fiercely feminine, finding its place in women's wardrobe as a major statement pop.

Cooling things off, the soft pastels of spring appear to be making their way into the cooler months. Especially the color of the year, Digital Lavender, which has been seen in the Fall Winter collection by brands like No. 21 in dresses and handbags. Digital Lavender has been relevant in fashion and beyond since 2022, but more and more it is being seen in the formalwear category and will serve as a cool addition to women's apparel this fall and winter.
