The Best Streetwear Trends at Paris Fashion Week

If you are like me, the best part of Paris Fashion Week is looking at all the different streetwear, because that is where the most fun, creative looks are found. In this article, we have compiled some of our favorite trends from the streetwear at Fashion Week this year.

Sparkles and sequins

In collections as well as in streetwear, sparkles were a big presence at Paris Fashion Week. Whether it comprised entire outfits or small details, glitter, sequins, gems, and other shiny fabrics were everywhere.

Hoods, veils, and balaclavas

Expanding on the already popular trend of balaclavas, creative headpieces were a common sighting. From simple, chic woolen balaclavas to jeweled veils, people found new and interesting ways to keep their heads warm.

Bold colors, patterns, and maximalism

Maximalism is back in a big way, and streetwear in Paris this week made that clear. Ready to make bold statements, attendees of fashion week wore bright colors, combinations of tons of patterns, and lots and lots of layers.

Oversized clothing

Too-big but still tailored clothing was also a staple this year. Big blazers with wide shoulders and shoulder pads, overly baggy pants, and huge, slouchy dresses are just a few examples of the trend.

Tulle and lace

Whether it was gentle and feminine or combined with dark and chunky elements to create a more gothic look, delicate lace and tulle were everywhere on the street. Whether used for ballerina inspired looks or grungy, edgy ones, tulle and lace details looked great on everyone.

Simple dresswear

Turtlenecks, blazers, and neutral colors were used to create simple, classic looks. With creative accessories and elements, these elevated versions of everyday looks were some of my personal favorites.
