Valentine’s Day Gift Guide for Him and for Her

Valentine’s Day can be a tough holiday to shop for. Everyone seems to have a different opinion on the holiday and how important it is. However, giving a gift to your loved one on Valentine’s Day is guaranteed to make them feel special, loved, and important. Whether you want to keep it simple or splurge on an extra-special gift that will last a lifetime, we have you covered.

I, personally, am a big believer in keeping it classic for Valentine’s Day. Flowers, chocolate, jewelry. It may be cheesy, but hey, the holiday itself is pretty cheesy, and there is a reason these gifts are seen as cliches: they never fail to please. That said, we have assembled a guide that ranges from elevated versions of these classics to gifts that are a little more out of the box.

  1. The Classic

There could not be a more classic romantic gift combo than flowers, chocolate, and a loving note. While these tokens of appreciation would please him, her, or them any time of year, they can be made extra special for Valentine’s Day if you schedule flowers to be delivered to your person and go all out with a luxury stationery card for your loving note.

2. Jewelry

Who doesn’t love to get jewelry? Whether your special someone likes elegant, delicate pieces or has a fun and chunky style, you can get them something to remind them of your love. A necklace engraved with your initial keeps you close to her heart. Charm earrings remind her that you hold the key to her heart.

3. A Luxurious Bathing Experience for the Partner who Deserves to Relax

Whether your partner is stressed about work, family, or life in general, they deserve a chance to really relax. Indulgent bubble bath, luxury soap with a heavenly smell, and of course, a soft and cozy robe for after their bath or shower are sure to alleviate stress and make your loved one feel, well, loved.

4. A Little Something Extra

I always find that the best gifts are ones that the giftee would love, but would never buy for themselves. For example, get them a mini version of their favorite perfume, because it is always super convenient to have for traveling. Men’s accessories, like cufflinks, are also a very useful but also special token of appreciation. I like these from Hermes for Valentine’s Day because of their red color, and I am a sucker for staying on theme.

5. From Cozy to Lusty Loungewear

No matter your vibe, sleepwear is the perfect Valentine’s day gift. This sexy slip is soft and silky, though La Perla has a wide variety of lingerie if your style is more risque. If you’re just going for cozy, you can’t go wrong with a silk pajama set, like this one from Momme Silk.

6. Kitchen and Bathroom Updates that Show You Care

Household accessories can be a great gift, especially if they make your partner’s life easier. If your loved one loves to cook, get them this adorable Valentine’s Day themed spoon rest from Le Creuset; this kitchen accessory is great for preventing messes in the kitchen and dining room. Or, if get your man a top-of-the-line electric trimmer to elevate his grooming experience.

7. For the Lover Getting Into a New Hobby

Helping a partner start something they have been wanting to try is a wonderful way of showing your love and support. If they have wanted to get into photography, try this easy to use (and very cute) film camera. Or try a coffee table book that you can both enjoy looking at, such as the beautiful Accidentally Wes Anderson (for film lovers, architecture buffs, and photography fans alike).

8. Something Cozy for 6 More Weeks of Winter

Valentine’s Day may be a romantic, wonderful day, but it happens in the middle of February, the grayest of months. To help your lover stay snug for the rest of winter, try getting them something warm and soft, like this alpaca balaclava from Corridor or the softest pink Loewe scarf.
