Miss Kimberly Kardashian has proven once again the immense force, dedication and power she possesses.
Kim K has really worked into becoming fashion's ultimate game player, there isn't a trend that isn't started by her, there isn't a fashion conversation without her name. Kim Kardashian is the face of modern consumption, beauty and social culture.
Since 2007 with the release of Keeping Up With the Kardasians both Kim and her family have been dominating pop culture as well as the fashion industry.
Her partnership with Dolce & Gabbana was one to come as of last May with Kourtney’s wedding the family has been collaborating with the controversial and problematic Italian fashion house. (Dolce & Gabbana have a not-short history of racism and homophobia)
As Kim touched down in Milan she has been looking nothing short of fabulous, exuding sensual italian mob-wife. Dolce & Gabbana invited Kim to select her favorite looks from 1987-2007 which then were a tiny bit altered to fit Kim’s modern fashion signature style.
D&G has exhausted their sensual, Sicilian women with religious motifs but Kim’s touch and curation showed a more modern, versatile take on their usual proposals. Good job Kim!
Taking notes from Demna’s Balenciaga couture show use of number labels, D&G stitched labels to garments with the year each archival look was from.
The runway archival collection presented black and white historia al pieces that really represented Kim’s fashion favorites. Including lingerie, sheer tops, unitards, corsets studded with crystals, reflective silver fabric, futuristic sunglasses, long gloves, sock heels, checkers, cross motif jewelry and body-hugging, silhouette revealing everything!
