A Barbie Branded Summer

It seems like every brand wants to party with Barbie. Anticipation is high for the release of the Barbie Movie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in theaters on July 21st and brands are jumping onto the Barbie craze with collaborations with one of Mattel’s biggest brands, taking elements of barbies signature looks throughout the years and channeling them into their brand’s aesthetic. Gap, Xbox, Kendra Scott, and Alex + Ani are just a few brands to hop on the Barbie train this summer.

Unique Vintage, a vintage-inspired clothing brand based in Las Angeles, has developed a line of unique pieces inspired by the iconic doll. The collection features a chevron-striped one-piece swimsuit, inspired by the apparel of the world’s very first Barbie doll. Other styles include swing skirts, bomber jackets, and rompers featuring vintage necklines and silhouettes all adorned in different shades of Barbie’s signature pink.’

Gap has hopped on the Barbie train as well with a collection of Barbie-inspired apparel and accessories for men, women, kids, and even pets. These styles take a vintage approach while channeling Gap’s classic styles and collegiate-type logos, all in pink.

Although not an apparel brand, Beis, a luggage company founded by actress Shay Mitchell has a Barbie collab of its own. Their collection features hot pink and baby pink roller bag styles in three sizes, aswell as their famous weekender bag. Smaller accessories like a hot pink cosmetics case are also part of the collection, launching July 19th!
