Ester Manas Has One Rule: One Size Does Fit All

Ester Manas and Balthazar Delepierre have one rule: one size fits all.

Their clothes celebrate every type of woman by acknowledging the existence of different body types. Their One Size Fits All and brands manifesto is a demanding vision that demands design to show off all body types.

The La Cambre graduates are set to create fashion that is actually inclusive, reinforcing their strong belief that fashion is for all.

Inclusivity in fashion has gone a long way considering the lack thereof just 10 years ago, but there is still a huge way to go. Designers often celebrate inclusivity by sending one “plus-size” model down the runway and call it a day.

Ester Manas’s ss23 collection said screw that. Screw fake inclusivity and especially screw this idea that clothes look better on slimmer bodies, and boy did they deliver.

Stretch fabrics allowed for the garments to gather and rich for the one-size-fits-all flexibility, featuring many cut-outs offering a look at body parts, pants were designed with the same gathered and ruffled technique. No body was concealed, the clothes fit perfectly to each model's unique silhouette looking flawlessly beautiful.

The magic behind Ester Manas collection is they’re ability to make clothes fit properly, something other designers struggle with as every time they approach a bigger body their clothes end up looking like a big bag with no waist, legs, breast or a silhouette for that matter. The color palette played with cold and warm hues toned down by neutrals. Their use of lilacs and hot purples was exquisite.

All I can say is we want more.
