London Fashion Week Is About To Get Hot and Heavy

After the festivities of NYFW, London is up next. Hitting the countries like a world tour, we are here for the new London collections. From Friday the 18th to Tuesday the 22nd, the runways will be flooded with to-die-for designs. 

Vivienne Westwood

Beginning her punk, anarchic fashions in 1971 with Malcolm McLaren, Westwood’s designs have never really gone out of style. Her iconic looks from cone bras, to studs, chains, deconstructed pieces, tartan print, and provocative images and text, Westwood has done it all. Seen on Rita, Ora, Dua Lipa, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, and many more as there is a laundry list of celebrities embracing Westwood’s artistic eye for fashion. Carrie Bradshaw even wore one of Westwood’s wedding dress designs in the Sex and the City movie when Big left her at the altar. Although Westwood’s designs will not be on the catwalk this year, her campaign film will be shown on Feb. 21st at 11 am.

Francesca Capper and Natasha Somerville launched their brand in 2017.  The fishnet, liquid metal, and mesh fabrics are playful and feminine with its vibrant colors. Some pieces are worn by Kylie Jenner, Dua Lipa, and Winnie Harlow.  Feb. 18 at 1 pm is when their new collection will be presented on the catwalk. 

Molly Goddard

Feb. 19 at 2 pm Molly Goddard will be on the catwalk showing off her new looks. From handbags, to dresses, to outerwear, Molly Goddard utilizes eccentric fabrics and unique silhouettes. The use of vibrant tulle makes her pieces instantaneously eye-catching.

KWK by Kay Kwok

Based in Hong Kong, Kay Kwok established his brand as futuristic and contemporary menswear. Kwok believes his clothing will make a difference in the metaverse focusing on digital clothing while keeping physical clothing in their realm. KWK will be walking the runway on Feb. 22 at 1 pm. 

Banshee of Savile Row

Banshee of Savile Row brings back the tradition of bespoke tailoring garments. Founded by Ruby Slevin and Rocco Tullio in 2019, their focus is feminism, mysticism, and fine tailoring. Feb. 19 8:30 pm- 10:30 pm is when you can see the presentation of the elegant tailoring of Banshee.
