London Fashion Week Street Style

London Fashion Week brought out the best of the best on the runways and on the streets. Influencers, models, and showgoers did not let the stormy, windy weather put a damper on the styles they brought to the streets of London. The endlessly creative looks will serve as inspiration for the coming spring season, and future trends will emulate Fashion Week’s street style.

Bright and bold pops of color dotted the streets under the rainy and gray London sky. An orange blazer paired with leather leggings took a classic look and gave it a cheery twist. A striking blue puffer that can stand alone to make a whole outfit and a sunny yellow ruffled dress over a neon pink top definitely brought some sunshine to the rainy city of London.

Others went in the opposite direction and chose to wear dark achromatic looks in all black. Pairing a black leather jacket with a crystal embellished sheer dress and classic black pumps shows a trendy yet sophisticated look. An alluring sheer blouse and black mini skirt gives off Nensi Dojaka vibes. The all black look can be a simple yet refined look with an oversized turtleneck and tailored pants.

Fluffy and flouncy tulle also made an appearance on the streets of London. The delicate and feminine look definitely made an impact in London. A tulle dress with red details is a doll-like style done right. A duo in coordinated purple and white tulle dresses look like Gossip Girl’s Blair and Serena taking on fashion week. As a top, lilac tulle provides even more texture and volume into an already beautiful design.

The rainy day staple of London, the trench coat, was also seen everywhere during LFW.A classic trench coat with plaid front panel detailing draped over an all black outfit demonstrates the elegance and the simplicity of the London staple. Not only were the signature camel colored trench coats out on the street, but some even mixed it up with a fun pastel pink jacket to go with matching high waisted pants. A trench coat is not some regular bulky coat, it offers a more refined way to stay warm and dry on rainy London days.

The handbags during London Fashion Week had their moment to shine. The bag really can complete any outfit. A neutral colored outfit might not seem like anything special, but when paired with a bright red and black floral patterned bag, the entire look draws much more attention to itself. A rust orange and white zebra printed handbag brings some flare to an otherwise simple looking coat. However, a bag doesn’t have to be a bold pattern to make a statement. Sometimes a simple structured black handbag can elevate a look and make anything look more elegant.

London Fashion Week did not let the rain stand in its way to showcase creative and beautiful styles on the street. Bright and cheery colorful outfits and goth-like all black outfits were showcased on London streets along with feminine tulle and classic trench coats. And we can’t forget about the exquisite handbags that added the finishing touches to some of the best street style looks at LFW. These trends will continue to pop up on the streets this year and not just in London.
