The party shoe destination of the moment, Mach & Mach has been on a steady rise to stardom since the brand opened in 2012. Founded by sister duro Nina and Gvantsa Macharashvili, the first showing was debuting at Paris Fashion Week in 2020, and then came appearances in celebrity wardrobes, from Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Megan Fox. Recognition from some of fashion’s biggest outlets, including Nordstrom and Moda Operandi earned them the fame they have today.

Fashion has always been an obsession of the Macharashvili sisters, and both were attracted by all related to fashion. From the very beginning, both had a clear definition of the goal and purpose of the brand. “The courage for everything was of course the fact that from day one, our customers believed in us and loved our products. We always tried to create a product that aligned to our tastes and brand aesthetics.” (FashionWeeklyDaily) Shoes have always been a special category for them, because the vision was to create a product that would be unique and different. Being raised in Georgia, the culturally rich European country had a constant source of inspiration for them. Even though they both differ in personality and taste, common principles such as work ethic and determination are core values that they stand on. A proud jewel in Tbilisi, the Georgian brand stands out for their defined rhinestone encrusted accessories and feminen designs. The Mach & Mach revolution first made internet waves with their crystal embellished double bow slingback heels and a double wrapped ankle strap. "[The] creative process behind this sparkly design was very interesting and kind of exciting at the same time," "When we finished working on this model we realized that something new and distinctive had been created." (Harper’s Bazaar) Since then, the brand has offered heels that resemble Cinderella slippers, in shades of soft pink, baby blue, emerald, and pewter. Post-pandemic era, the heels have become even better best-sellers, when weddings, parties, and events are back on our calendars.

Mach & Mach is exploring new, party appropriate motifs with its next collection and venturing into Y2k territory with acrylic heels, sky-high platforms, and PVC embellishments. Each piece is influenced by music, art design, technology, movies, people, nature, because everything is connected. “We really like the idea of giving the past a different twist, a base for painting new paths and setting up a fashion business that conveys a message of positivity and union.” (Vogue Italia)
