POSTER GIRL Brought Tight, Low Waist and Lots of Skin
Sexy was the theme among the London based designers at this LFW debut.
Since 2017 Francesca Capper and Natasha Somerville have been manifesting confidence, ultra femininity, sexiness and nostalgia with their coveted high gloss aesthetic.
POSTER GIRL is all about celebrating inner confidence and femininity. Entering pop culture in an explosive way as the likes of Dua Lipa, Kylie Jenner, Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez and Doja Cat are big fans.
Bringing back the 90’s nostalgia in the form of chainmail, metal-mesh dresses inspired by shapewear. The body is definitely the center of attention not shying away from accentuating its silhouette in all of its glory.
The brand's SS23 collection took it to the next level by experimenting with their signature designs in new shapes and risqué heights.
If you are familiar with POSTER GIRL you know the models wore form-fitting clothes and Y2Ks signature low, very low, rise cut. The show opened with a patriotic mini dress featuring an embroidered British flash in sequins. Followed by tight, mini, midriff, leg baring skimpy outfits. A modern take on Y2K aesthetic mixed with lots of ruffles, sort of a boho cowgirl meets sequined dominatrix.
POSTER GIRL’s spring/summer proposal is all about corsets, lace, ruffles, sequins, oversized belts, nipple covering tops, cut-outs and movements that keeps femenine sexuality at the highest of fashions level.
Everything looked promising and the clothes definitely did not disappoint. It would have been an A plus presentation if diversity would have been present in body variation.
