Richard Quinn’s Return to London Fashion Week

Richard Quinn’s return to London Fashion was nothing short of iconic. The Central Saint Martins graduate featured his signature bold styles in a room with pink walls, pink carpet, and a magnificent crystal chandelier hanging above beds of flowers. Quinn’s vintage inspired looks stunned on the runway. The bold colors and prints of his designs were works of art. Art and fashion merge when Richard Quinn showcases his designs.

As a relatively new designer, Quinn has already made quite the name for himself. During his first time showing his collection at London Fashion Week, Queen Elizabeth II attended his show and awarded him with the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design. He quickly became the next designer to watch.

Quinn’s latest collection for Fall 2022 was inspired by 50s and 60s silhouettes and styles. The colorful floral coats with matching wide brimmed hats put a new twist on a vintage look.

Quinn also took a more body hugging and slimming approach to some of the designs in his latest collection. This all black style resembles a 1950s version of Catwoman. The latex gloves and boots along with the face covering hat give a sense of mystery and intrigue.

This hot pink number that matched the color of the whole room, highlights Quinn’s hooded style that he’s long been experimenting with. The bodysuit covers everything from head to toe, with the exception of the face for this design. The belted mini skirt feature in this design adds an even more feminine touch.

In the city of London, a trench coat is a staple for all those rainy days. In this look, Richard Quinn put his own unique twist on the classic London trench coat. The simple tan color allows for the interesting silhouette to be the dominant feature of this design. Quinn used his signature collar-turned-hood style to make a statement with an otherwise simple design.

It is not a Richard Quinn collection if it doesn’t include some latex garments. In this look, Quinn layered a tea-length dress perfect for a garden party over an edgy latex long sleeved top. This design worked seamlessly in order to put an edgy twist on an ultra-feminine dress.

Richard Quinn knows how to make a statement. A voluminous scarlet red design definitely captured the attention of everyone at LFW. Big puffs of fabric at the shoulders and hips created a very pronounced silhouette. The flowing train paired with the powerful pants and belt combination demonstrated a powerful design element that Quinn mastered.

There is no doubt the London based designer Richard Quinn will continue to be one of the hottest designers at many fashion weeks to come. His bold vintage inspired styles have made a grand impression on the fashion world.
