Fashion brands release their first collaboration and capsule collection with DJ Honey Dijon’s “HFD” in 2021. Now, in 2023, the pair have come back to bless the fashion world with another collaboration and collection. The brand stated that the collection embodied the intersectionality of sex, music, fashion, and art. This collection was heavily inspired by the clubwear, club culture and dancehalls, pulling from Dijon's career. The designs take into account the community of clubs and their dress. In addition to this, the collection is full of vivid colors such as pink, green or lavender that are perfect for the spring.

Dijon believes that clubs have not only amassed a culture but also a community. She embodies these community values in the collection. She wanted to explore the links between the club and ballroom culture and wear. The clubwear is comfortable and multi - functional for any club activity. It is the perfect blend of sexy and workable. The collection was designed to be genderless and can be worn by any gender identity and is composed of various styles of cargos, bomber jackets and sandals. The DJ and producer said herself, “I was inspired by the mail order catalogues of the late 70’s and early 80’s. A lot of the key pieces are genderless and meant to seamlessly work from travel to clubbing. The plexiglass pump will be made up to size 46 as heels are becoming a genderless expression in footwear.”

This collection fills the need for sexy yet practical clubwear and is a celebration of club culture and anyone a part of it. The collection features unisex or genderless designs and garments that can fit with any gender’s style. It pulls from Honey Dijon’s wondrous career as a DJ and producer by pulling from a culture and community that she is a part of and often works with. This makes the collection more personal and heartfelt and shows that Dijon and Acne Studios were thinking about a specific group of consumers. This collection is bound to be a success especially within the underground club community. Shop the new collection here.
