MCM is simultaneously throwing it back and looking to the future with its most recent campaign. On August 20th, the German fashion brand dropped two new exciting surprises: a revamped version of their iconic monogram seen on hundreds of their products, as well as the return of an iconic face for the brand, global supermodel Cindy Crawford.

Kendall Miles’ Nordstrom Takeover
Chicago was in for a treat last week, with a popup with Kendall Miles as part of the department stores’ Black Business Month. The Chicago-based shoe brand, which produces its gorgeous luxury heels in Italy, sold its most iconic styles and had a popup at the Michigan Avenue location from August 11th through the 13th. Shoppers got an opportunity to try these iconic styles like the Posh Mule in person and meet the brand's owner, founder, and namesake, Kendall Milles.

In terms of supermodels, the 90s was an era with the most iconic catwalk models. All with their signature walk and style, featured on magazine covers, tv commercials, and billboards, these faces are unmistakable, and even today, they set the standard of what it means to be an iconic model.

The Kardashian family's influence seems to touch everything, especially fashion. On August 7th Marc Jacobs removed all of their Instagram and posted a single video with clips of a woman, dressed in Marc Jacobs ensembles, but not showing her face. The first is their iconic Lili Strappy Platform Pumps in white with a metallic skirt, and in the second clip, black and white polka dot tights with the same shoes, a fitted ribbed black skirt, black blazer, and their iconic small leather tote in one of their newest colors, the third clip pans to silver balloons spelling out Marc Jacobs.

On August 11th, Vivienne Westwood released a new handbag to their site, a stunning foldover handbag, right in time for fall. The Sibyl joins Vivienne’s lineup of beautiful and quality handbags.
Ganni Spring Summer 2024
Ganni debuted their Spring/Summer 2024 collection by Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup on August 10th during Copenhagen Fashion Week. The Danish fashion brand, known for its affordable luxury style and playful style, had a runway show that was one with nature, with trees indoors, bringing a pop of nature's green to the otherwise neutral white and gray interior.

Ever wondered where astrology and fashion meet? Brandon Blackwood is serving 90s throwback with their newest handbag collection and adding in star signs too. The Black-owned brand, founded by its namesake introduced a new collection of shoulderbags that announce to the world, just who you are. On July 28th, New York Fashion brand Brandon Blackwood debuted their zodiac collection, to be released on August 4th.
